Advanced Cardiac Life Support Courses |
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support is a set of medical protocols used for the provision of lifesaving cardiac care. There were designed for health professionals that need respond to cardiac arrests in the emergency, intensive care, or critical care departments in hospitals and out-of-hospital settings.
*The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS and ACLS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association. |

• Heartsaver Courses provide training to members of the community on how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies for adults, children, and infants.
Training may include Heartsaver CPR,

CPR/BLS for the Health Provider Courses |
• The CPR/BLS for the Health Provider Course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages. Successful completion of this class is a prerequisite for the ACLS and PALS courses, and for the BLS Instructor Course.

Emergency Medical Services Training |
| • Emergency Medical Services (EMS) consists of a team of health care professionals who, in every community, are responsible for and provide emergency care and transportation to the sick and injured. Paramedics and EMTs, in addition to, 911 dispatchers are specifically trained to carry out their roles in their respective EMS systems. |

Pediatric Advanced Life Support Courses |
• This course is for healthcare professionals involved in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest of the pediatric patient.
Course participants will learn:
1) how to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest
2) the strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children
3) the cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children in respiratory failure, shock, or cardiopulmonary arrest.
