The Nursing Profession's Highest Honor. Presented by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Nursing Magnet Designation is widely considered to be the gold standard for quality in the nursing profession. Magnet hospitals must satisfy a demanding set of criteria measuring the nursing team's performance and strength over an extended period of time.
ARMC Seventh in Nation for Quality Care. AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center was recently ranked sevent in the nation for care of heart attack, congestive heart failure and pneumonia patients. This quality ranking is the result of the teamwork of ARMC physicians, nurses and support staff in identifying and carrying out protocols that ensure prompt, appropriate treatment for patients. Ranking is based on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid hospital quality data compiled by Harvard University for The Commonwealth Fund (April 2004-March 2005).
J.D. Power and Associates Hospital of Distinction. ARMC has earned distinction three years in a row from J.D. Power and Associates, a trusted provider of consumer information, for consistently delivering "an outstanding patient experience."
National Recognition for Organ Donation. ARMC, in collaboration with Gift of Life Donor Program, was recently awarded the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Medal of Honor for outstanding rates of organ donation. Only three percent of hospitals nationwide have achieved the award.
Chest Pain Accreditation. Both campuses of ARMC have been designated as Accredited Chest Pain Centers by the Society of Chest Pain Centers. Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. The Center for Surgical Weight Loss & Wellness at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center was named an American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS) Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence (BSCOE) in January 2006.
