The H.A. Marsh School Garden in Absecon, NJ is in full bloom. The Green Team of Absecon, volunteered their time to rebuild our old garden beds and create new ones. Our garden club and third grade team helped to fill our beds with Eco-soil and transplant our seedlings into our new beds. We now have nine beds filled with strawberries, lettuce, swiss chard, arugula, beets, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, eggplants, string beans and herbs.
We harvested our lettuce, arugula and swiss chard to be served in our cafeteria for the students and staff to enjoy. All of the students were excited to taste the fresh vegetables that they grew.
