Healing Arts Overview:

It takes more than medicine to create a healthy community.  Serene art pieces, calming colors, natural light and soothing sounds can soften the high-tech healthcare setting and support the healing process. Numerous studies also show that clinical outcomes can be enhanced by incorporating the healing arts in the clinical environment.

That’s why AtlantiCare incorporated the healing arts into the Center for Childbirth, the Emergency Department at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s Mainland Campus and the George F. Lynn Harmony Pavilion at ARMC’s Atlantic City Campus. We are pleased to continue our commitment to the healing arts at the new AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute.  This new state-of-the-art facility boasts over 70 new pieces of art work from local artists.

AtlantiCare is now home to more than 500 exquisite art pieces, demonstrating that not only is southern New Jersey home to world-class healthcare, it is home to world-class artists as well.

On your tour you will enjoy images created in a wide variety of mediums, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional, including limited edition prints, giclee prints, murals, mixed media art, tile engraving, garden impression tiles, glass relief, mosaics, ceramics, sculpture, fabric art, collages, and photography.

AtlantiCare's healing arts program also offers the community a unique opportunity to support both the arts and AtlantiCare's clinical services. For more information about sponsoring the arts program, please call 609-677-7255.

Music in the Air

As part of designing the healing environment for patients, visitors and staff, ARMC is embarking on a program of therapeutic sound and music called "Harmonic HealthCare." This new prescriptive music program uses a blended design of light classical, smooth jazz, ambient, and world music to provide an atmosphere of energized relaxation.

Are you interested in supporting the development and maintenance of the art program? Would you like to sponsor a particular piece of art? Please contact Cheryl Broschard at the AtlantiCare Foundation - 609-677-7255.

We invite you to participate in our healing art environment.
