OUR SERVICES
Overview
We provide the following services to communities in Atlantic County, Southern Ocean County and Cape May County:
- Physical, Emotional and spiritual support
- Assistance with personal care as needed
- Medication for symptom management
- Medical equipment for care at home
- Short term respite care
- Bereavement follow-up
In addition to these services, a Registered Nurse is available to you by phone, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Understanding Grief Workshop
Everyone experiences grief in his or her own unique way. If you are newly bereaved or anticipating a loss, this workshop will help you understand what to expect of your grief.
The Understanding Grief workshop is offered monthly by AtlantiCare Hospice and is held in the AtlantiCare Building at 6725 Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township.
There is no cost and this workshop is open to the community. To register for this workshop please call 609-272-2424. |

AtlantiCare Hospice offers a wide variety of bereavement services. For more information on any of these services call AtlantiCare Hospice at (609) 272-2424
- 24-hour Hotline. For those whose loved one was on the service of AtlantiCare Hospice, our hotline is still available if one feels the need to speak with someone. This service is available for 13 months after the death of a loved one.
- Grief Literature. Additional reading materials that focus on grief concerns related to the specific relation ship with your loved one (i.e. spouse, parent, etc.) are available to AtlantiCare Hospice bereaved and the community at large at no cost.
- Coping with Loss Support Group. Coping with Loss is a support group that meets at quarterly intervals throughout the year. It is 6 weeks long and meets once a week for an hour and a half. The group combines grief education with sharing and mutual support. The group is open to the community at no cost.
- Coping with Loss for teens. Like the adult Coping with loss, this group combines grief education with sharing and mutual support. However, it is geared toward adolescents. A parent or guardian must register participants.
- Understanding Grief Workshop. This one session workshop is offered monthly for anyone who has suffered a loss or who is anticipating a loss. The focus is on grief education - What to expect of grief?
- Circle of Love. This holiday workshop is held in the fall. It is a one-session experience combining information about managing grief prior to, throughout and after the holiday season.
- Contacts. Bereaved who have lost a loved one on AtlantiCare Hospice's program may be followed for 13 months by a specially trained volunteer or staff member if desired
- Referrals. Referrals can be made to community resources or agencies.
