The Joint Institute - Education

It All Starts With A Class

Doctor and PatientWe believe education is an essential component of your procedure’s success. That’s why you will be invited to attend a group education class before your surgery given by a nurse and a physical therapist. Here you will learn what to expect during your hospital stay, what the surgery entails, how to manage any discomfort that may occur, what your rehabilitation options may be and other important information. You will also receive a binder of informative, easy-to-understand materials that outline your procedure.

In some cases it may be necessary for a nurse case manager to meet with you and your family. If so, The Joint Institute will schedule a meeting to give you and your family a chance to get answers to your questions about the procedure and hospital stay.
