AtlantiCare Lifeline

How Lifeline Works

1. It starts with the push of a button. 2. "Hello, Mrs. Brandt, this is Bill from AtlantiCare Lifeline. Do you need help?" 3. "Yes, yes . . . I've slipped in my kitchen!"
Mrs. Brandt pushes the button. AtlantiCare Employee, Bill, answers. Mrs. Brandt tells Bill that she fell in the kitchen

4. "I'll call your neighbor Helen and send her right over. Now just try to relax." 5. "Mrs. Watson, this is AtlantiCare Lifeline. Your neighbor Mrs. Brandt fell in her kitchen and she's a little shaken." 6. "I'll run right over. I've got her key right here."
Bill offers to call Mrs. Brandt's neighbor Bill Calls Mrs. Brandt's  Neighbor The neighbor talking to the LifeLine Employee

7. A few moments later.

"Mrs. Watson, this is Bill from AtlantiCare Lifeline. How is Mrs. Brandt doing?"

8. "She can't put any pressure on her hip, so I'm afraid to move her. You better call an ambulance." 9. "I'll call now. Could you press the button to signal us when they arrive?"
Bill contacts Mrs. Brandt's neghbor to see how Mrs. Brandt is doing. The neighbor says Mrs. Brandt needs an Ambulance. Bill says he will call the ambulance for her.

10. "They're taking her to the hospital right now. I'll lock up the house and look after her cat." 11. "Thanks Mrs. Watson. I'll call her daughter Carol." 12. "Carol Rossi."
The neibor tells billthat the ambulance is taking care of her Bill says he'll notify Mrs. Brandt's daughter. Carol, Mrs. Brandt's daughter answers the phone

13. "Hi, Mrs. Rossi. This is Bill from AtlantiCare Lifeline. Your mother fell in the kitchen and . . . " 14. "Is she all right? What happened?"  15. "We called an ambulance and they said she was fine."
Bill tells Carol about what happened Carol askes him about how her mother is doing. Bill explains the situation .

16. "They brought her to the hospital just to be safe." 17. "I'll give them a call." 18. "And don't worry about her cat, She's with Mrs. Watson."
Bill explains. Carol says she'll contact the hospital. Bill also tells her that her mom's naighbor is taking care of the cat.

19. "Thanks so much."  
Carol thanks Bill
