ARMC is home to the region's only state-designated Level II Trauma Center, which delivers lifesaving care to the region's most seriously injured. Because of its proximity, patients spend less time in transit and more time in treatment. To eliminate dangerous delays caused by having to locate medical personnel, the Trauma Center is staffed with trauma specialists 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Trauma surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, radiologists, CT scan technicians and many other trauma team members are on-site, prepared for any emergency. Because many injuries treated are preventable, the Trauma Center sponsors community education programs.
