The Heart Institute’s surgical team provides patients with extraordinary care, with a personal touch. Since opening in the summer of 2001, the Heart Institute at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center has performed more than 1,000 open-heart surgeries.

The Heart Institute’s cardiac care team designed a personalized surgical plan for each one of those 1,000 patients, with exceptional clinical success. Our surgical expertise includes minimally invasive endoscopic vein harvesting, off-pump coronary bypass (OPCAB or “beating heart” bypass), reoperative bypass, and valve repair and replacement.
