Brook Challender gave birth to twin boys, Bryce and Brody, at AtlantiCare’s Roger B. Hansen Center for Childbirth in 2014. The boys spent more than a month in the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery before being discharged home.
On December 1, 2015, The AtlantiCare Foundation will join more than 10,000 other nonprofit organizations participating in #GivingTuesday.

#GivingTuesday is a campaign to create a national day of giving at the start of the holiday season. It celebrates and encourages charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations.

With the help of the Challender family of Egg Harbor Township, we’re raising money for our Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery (NICN) at the Roger B. Hansen Center for Childbirth at ARMC Mainland Campus. The NICN cares for babies born too early or who have other medical needs.

Funds raised through your generous donations to the AtlantiCare Foundation on December 1 will benefit the NICN.

What better way to start off the holiday season than by giving back?

“The staff at AtlantiCare’s NICN was absolutely fabulous,” says Brook Challender, whose sons, Brody and Bryce, spent 33 days in the NICN after they were born. “They helped the boys ‘make’ me a Mother’s Day card. They put bubbles in Brody’s first bath. Little touches like that show you that they truly care.

“It’s important to us to give back to the NICN. The nurses, physicians and staff are so knowledgeable and made such a difference in our lives.”

Today, Bryce and Brody are happy, healthy, energetic toddlers.
