Dr. Dralle was most recently the medical director for the Cardiac Surgery Program at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Illinois, one of the top 100 heart hospitals in the country.

Dr. Dralle is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Dr. Dralle earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his internship, residency and cardiothoracic fellowship at the New York University Medical Center.

Howard Levite, MD

Medical Director, Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and Interventional Cardiologist

LeviteHoward_MDDr. Levite graduated from Yale University in 1976 and attended Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in 1986 and finished his cardiac catheterization and angioplasty fellowships at New York University Medical Center in 1987. He received his MBA from Zicklin School of Business in 2003.

Dr. Levite is an attending physician in the cardiac catheterization laboratories at the New York University and Bellevue Hospital.

He is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Howard I. Axelrod, MD

Cardiac Surgeon

Axelrod_Howard_M_MDHoward Ian Axelrod, MD, is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the Heart Institute at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC). Dr Axelrod performs all phases of cardiac surgery including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), beating heart bypass surgery, traditional and minimally invasive valve repair and replacement, and aortic aneurysm surgery. Dr. Axelrod is on the faculty of New York University School of Medicine serving as an associate professor of surgery.

Prior to joining ARMC, Dr. Axelrod was an attending cardiovascular surgeon at Westchester Medical Center, where he initiated the Off-Pump CABG program as well as the minimally invasive valve surgery program. In addition he brought minimally invasive vein harvest to Westchester. He was involved in the heart transplant and pediatric surgery program as well. Dr. Axelrod also served as an associate professor of surgery at New York Medical College.

Dr. Axelrod received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in New York, New York. He performed his surgical residency at New York University (NYU) Medical Center, where he was also a cardiovascular surgery research fellow and a cardiothoracic surgery fellow. He also served as chief resident in surgery at NYU. Dr. Axelrod graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS from Union College in Schenectady, New York.

Dr. Axelrod is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He has published a number of manuscripts and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Axelrod lives in Egg Harbor Township.

Mohamed H. Elnahal, MD, FACP, FACC

Elnahol_Mohamed_MD_-_Jan_2012_taken_by_D_ConnorDr. Elnahal completed his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in 1991 and finished his cardiac pacing fellowship at UMDNJ Beth Israel Medical Center in 1992. He graduated from Cairo University Medical School, Cairo, Egypt, in 1981. Board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and pacing and electrophysiology, Dr. Elnahal is a recipient of the Physician's Recognition Award with Commendation for Self-Directed Learning, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Elnahal began at ARMC in the Division of Cardiology after completion of his pacemaker fellowship. He has been Chief of the Division of Cardiology since 2004.

Nader N. Ghaly, MD, FACC, FAHA

Director of Electrophysiology and Arrhythmia Services

GhalyNaderPreviously, Dr. Ghaly was Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ and a practicing member of the South Jersey Heart Group. Prior to that, he was a staff member of the Electrophysiology/Pacemaker Department at Deborah Heart and Lung Center and Assistant Director of Arrhythmia Services at MCP-Philadelphia. Dr. Ghaly completed his fellowships in cardiology and electrophysiology at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in 1990. Dr. Ghaly graduated from Ain Shams University School of Medicine, Cairo, Egypt, in 1980. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and cardiac electrophysiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association Council on clinical Cardiology.

Recognized for the outstanding Cardiac Electrophysiology care provided to the community by Inside Jersey Top Docs 2014.

Eugene Grossi, MD

He is an attending surgeon at New York University Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital Center and at New York Veterans Administration Medical Center. Dr. Grossi is recognized for his pioneering work in minimally invasive cardiac surgery. Dr. Grossi earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his internship, residency and research fellowship at New York University Medical Center.
