New Vision

Take the first step in creating a New Vision™ for your future. Sometimes it’s hard to believe in our possibilities. When we’ve given up control of our lives to substance abuse and alcohol dependency, it’s difficult to imagine our lives being any different. At New Vision™, AtlantiCare’s medical stabilization program for adults, we know that the journey of a thousand miles begins with one single step. Take that step today – call New Vision™ for help in breaking your addiction.

A New Vision in Breaking The Grasp of Addiction

New Vision™ is a confidential, voluntary program based at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s Atlantic City campus. During a short inpatient stay, New Vision™ helps adults 18 and older by treating:

  • Physical addiction to drugs and alcohol
  • Acute withdrawal symptoms
  • Addiction-related health problems

AtlantiCare’s New Vision™ accepts Medicaid, Medicare and most insurance and managed care plans. It is a collaboration between AtlantiCare Behavioral Health (ABH) and AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

You enter the New Vision™ program voluntarily. Once admitted, your medical team will assess your needs. This assessment comprises a medical history, a physical examination, a lab workup, and a nursing evaluation. Treatment includes a three-day, medically supervised hospital stay. During these three days, you will receive support and treatment to get you through the medical stabilization process.

Before you leave the hospital, your medical team will work with you to create a personalized discharge plan. The plan will include referrals to appropriate community based inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs. These programs provide counseling and support to ensure you get the practical help you need to prevent relapse.
