Pharmacy Residency | Information for Applicants

Qualification of Applicants 

Applicants shall havea Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy and must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of New Jersey. It is expected that the applicant meet essential work requirements, such as passing the NAPLEX, NJ MPJE, and obtaining NJ pharmacist licensure by September 1st.  Applicants must enroll in the National Matching Services, Inc. Selected applicants will be enthusiastic and energetic, with a strong desire for further professional development as well as advancement of the profession of pharmacy.

Application Information
Applications will be accepted starting in early November and are due by January 20, 2017 via PhORCAS.

Application packets must include:

  1. Letter of intent
  2. Curriculum Vitae
  3. Official transcripts of all professional pharmacy education (sent by college of pharmacy)
  4. Three written letters of recommendation completed by healthcare professionals and/or faculty who can attest to your practice abilities and aptitudes. At least one of these must be from an APPE rotation preceptor.

Residency Matching Program

AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s Pharmacy Residency participates in residency matching program through National Matching Services, Inc. Residency applicants must enroll in the National Matching Services, Inc.

General Program Information

 

  • Three positions for 12 months beginning on the third Monday in June
  • Annual stipend is $42,000
  • Personal Interview is required
  • Fringe benefits and allowances: health benefits (including medical, dental, and vision), 2 weeks paid vacation, 6 paid holidays, 5 sick days, travel expenses to ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and Eastern States Conference.
