Lifeline Auto Alert

Take comfort in knowing your button will call for help, even if you can't

A simple fall can have devastating consequences. Without immediate help, you may suffer pain, emotional distress, or experience serious secondary medical problems such as dehydration, hypothermia or pneumonia. Make sure you can get help if you fall—even if you're disoriented, unconscious, immobilized, or otherwise unable to push your Personal Help Button.

We respond to this need with the new AtlantiCare Lifeline with AutoAlert* option. AutoAlert offers all the benefits of our Standard Lifeline Medical Alert Service—push the button for help at any time—plus an added layer of protection: Lifeline with AutoAlert is the only pendant-style help button that can automatically place a call for help if it detects a fall and you're unable to push the button yourself.

Get help even if you fall and are unable to push your button Every year, more than 13 million people age 65 and older suffer from falling accidents. You can become disoriented, or become immobilized or knocked unconscious, and unable to call for help. We responded to this need with the new AtlantiCare Lifeline with AutoAlert* option. Just like with our Standard Lifeline Medical Alert Service, you can push the pendant-style button for help at any time. For an added layer of protection, the Lifeline with AutoAlert is the only pendant-style help button that can automatically place a call for help if it detects a fall and you're unable to push the button yourself.

Consider the AutoAlert benefits:
  • Access to help if you can't push your button
  • Increased peace of mind and confidence
  • Wear it in the shower, where falls often occur, as it's waterproof.
  • Use it to call for help from anywhere in or around your home.

*AutoAlert does not detect 100% of falls. If able, users should always push their buttons if they need help.

Caution: Choosing your help button

It is important that you and your caregiver choose the Personal Help Button most suitable for you. Please consider the following:

Pendant Styles The Classic, Slimline and AutoAlert Pendants are worn around the neck; this helps make the button accessible by either of your hands.

Caution: The Pendant's neck cord is not designed to break away. Therefore, it can pose a choking risk, including the possibility of death and serious injuries. This may apply to wearers in wheelchairs, using walkers, using beds with guard rails, or otherwise protruding objects upon which the cord can become tangled. Wearers for whom this is a concern may wish to consider the Wrist Style method.

Note: Range may vary due to construction of your home and distance from the Lifeline Telephone or Basic Unit.

Please consult your caregiver or Lifeline Program on which Help Button style is most appropriate for you.

The AutoAlert Pendant is only available on a neck cord. Wearers for whom this is a concern may wish to consider the standard Lifeline Service with the Wrist style button.
