Support for Families and Friends

Gilda's Club South Jersey offers support groups, lectures, workshops and social events as a supplement to medical care in a warm and welcoming home-like setting. Our program is free of charge to all members and open to everyone touched by cancer. Gilda’s Club is named in honor of comedian Gilda Radner who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1986. The Living Room at the AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute brings the essential components of the Gilda’s Club program to our facility.

http://www.canceradvocacy.org/ is the website of the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship – a support network that provides information and resources on cancer support, advocacy and quality-of-life issues. NCCS programs include Cancer: Keys to Survivorship, which teaches skills to help folks live with, beyond and through cancer; and the Cancer Survivor Toolbox, an audio program that features such topics as making decisions, finding information, finding ways to pay for care, and caring for the caregiver.
