LPGA golfers Line Vedel and Karin Sjodin addressed fifth grade students at Emma C. Attales Middle School Thursday May 29 on behalf of AtlantiCare's Healthy Schools, Healthy Children program. The women encouraged students to establish healthy habits at an early age.

Professional golfers Karin Sjodin and Line Vedel visited fifth graders at Emma C. Attales Middle School in Absecon, NJ, May 29 in conjunction with AtlantiCare Healthy Schools, Healthy Children program. The players were in Galloway to participate in the 2014 ShopRite LPGA Classic, May 31 – June 1 at Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club, Galloway, New Jersey. AtlantiCare is a sponsor of the tournament.

The golfers delivered a message of health to the gathered students. They noted eating well, exercising, and taking care of their bodies are important to both women for optimal performance both on and off the green. Participating in sports and other physical activities as children, they said, lead them to healthy and active adult lives.

AtlantiCare's Healthy Schools, Healthy Children program gave t-shirts to the approximately 90 students, encouraging them to maintain the healthy habits they encountered during the school year, such as daily exercise and healthy food choices, at home throughout the summer.
