The PTO donated more than 150 children's books to the Stanley M. Grossman Pediatric Center at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center June 10.

Mary Fabietti visited the Stanley M. Grossman Pediatric Center at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Atlantic City Campus June 10 on behalf of the Linwood Parent Teacher Organization with boxes of children's books in tow.

Fabietti, co-president of the PTO, said the books were collected from participants of a mother-son Boardwalk date night the PTO held May 8 at Seaview Elementary School in Linwood for boys K - 4th grade. The event included games and Boardwalk-style entertainment and was free for families with the donation of a new children's book.

"The Linwood PTO hosts 'good will' events, which are family-oriented and encourage students to give back to their community," said Fabietti. "We wanted to promote reading, and we wanted to keep the donation local," she added. "AtlantiCare serves our community and these books will benefit sick and hospitalized children from our region."

The PTO donated more than 150 children's books to the Stanley M. Grossman Pediatric Center, which treats patients from infancy to age 18.

"We are thankful that the Linwood PTO chose to include ARMC in its community voluntarism," said Nancy Neuroth, RN, clinical manager, Pediatrics, AtlantiCare. "Our young patients and their families will enjoy the gifts while they are in the hospital and continue to do so after bringing the books home."
