Sometimes a patient decides to stop treatment or a cancer no longer responds to treatments. When this happens, a patient is often nearing the end of life. At AtlantiCare, Hospice helps keep patients comfortable and free from pain while providing emotional support to patients and their families.
The AtlantiCare Hospice program is committed to seeing our patients through the end-of-life journey comfortably, securely, and with dignity. Our program is designed to support patients as well as their families with compassionate care for anyone in the terminal stage of an illness.

This plays a key role in the treatment process. Your cancer care team answers all your questions and provides a wealth of information you need to learn about the disease, your treatments, expected side effects, and how to live with cancer.Social Workers
Our cancer-dedicated social workers help patients and families cope with the financial, emotional and lifestyle challenges that cancer brings. They help patients navigate complicated systems to obtain such services and resources as disability benefits, financial assistance for prescription drugs, home health care, and much more. They also provide supportive counseling to help patients and families cope with the anxiety and depression that often accompany a cancer diagnosis.
