Conference Objectives: At the conclusion of this program the participants should be able to:
- Identify and discuss evidence based information about new and innovative advances in trauma, critical care and emergency medicine.
- Describe and discuss trauma-related concepts and topics in the specialty areas of orthopedics, neurosurgery, and pediatrics.
- Review and discuss pathophysiologic concepts of the assessment, diagnosis, management and care of critically ill and injured patients.
Goal: The goal of this annual conference is to provide relevant information and be able to discuss and debate the most current trends in trauma care, critical care and emergency medicine.
Needs Assessment: Objective and topics for this conference were developed from growth in knowledge and practice derived from analysis of data from the following sources:
- A committee of physicians, nurses, administrators, educators and others created and approved the educational content to meet the American College of Surgeons annual education requirements for accreditation of a Level II Trauma Center.

- Review of standard guidelines and internal policies
