Accreditation

Physician

The AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center is accredited by the Medical Society of New Jersey to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM for May 6 and 7, 2008. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS®): Open to Physicians Only - The
American College of Surgeons designates this educational activity for a
maximum of 5 Category 1 credits toward the American Medical Association’s
Physician Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of
credit that he/she actually spent in the activity. 1 hour = 1 credit.

Nursing

16 NJSNA nursing contact hours will be provided for May 6 and 7, 2008. AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Department of Clinical Education is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the New Jersey State Nurses Association, Provider #P64-10/06-09. NJSNA is accredited by the ANCC Commission on Accreditation.

Pre-Hospital

NJ EMS: A certificate will be issued upon completion of the course. Credits will be given to each participant through their EMS coordinator

PA EMS: Continuing education has been applied for and is pending approval.

All other out-of-state EMS: Contact your state EMS for pre-approval of
credits and questions concerning CEU.

Respiratory

16 continuing education credits approved for May 6 and May 7 through the American Association for Respiratory Care.

Radiology

16 continuing education credits are pending ASRT approval for May 6 and 7, 2008. Note: Credit will be awarded to all participants only if the evaluation form is completed and returned.
