James Dralle, MD Dr. Dralle, is the division director of the Department of Surgery, Division of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Heart Institute at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. Dr. Dralle has led the surgical team at the Heart Institute since it opened in 2001. He was one of three physicians noted in the Health Care Quality Assessment’s Cardiac Surgery in New Jersey 2004 report as having significantly lower risk-adjusted mortality rates than the statewide average. He was previously medical director for the Cardiac Surgery Program at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Illinois, one of the top 100 heart hospitals in the country. Certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, Dr. Dralle earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where he is an assistant professor of surgery. His special interests include valve repair, aortic aneurysms and complex cardiac cases. An avid runner, Dr. Dralle has competed in the New York City Marathon. |
