Sheldon Brotman, MD, FACS, FCCM

Sheldon Brotman, MD, is chief of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield, Massachusetts and Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester, Massachusetts. He was previously medical director of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Brotman received his Medical Doctor degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his internship at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, New York and a residency in surgery at the United States Naval Hospital, Great Lakes, Illinois. He completed a fellowship in trauma at the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems in Baltimore, Maryland.

He is Board-certified in surgery and surgical critical care and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgical Critical Care. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Critical Care Medicine.

He is affiliated with numerous organizations including the American Medical Association, American Trauma Society and the Association for Academic Surgery.
