• Learn a new form of nervous tissue growth that can be exploited to repair the nervous system and to create a brain-machine interface
• To explore the mechanisms that will allow a brain machine, such as proprioception
• To recognize the potential of brain-machine interfaces far beyond enabling highly functional limb protheses.
