ALMA Scholarship

Application Information:

The AtlantiCare Latinos Moving Ahead (ALMA) ERG Scholarship annually supports the academic endeavors of AtlantiCare employees and/or their immediate family members of Hispanic descent who wish to pursue careers in healthcare (clinical or non-clinical fields) and whose academic goals align with ALMA’s mission. Upon application review, one recipient will be awarded a scholarship of $1,000.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Open to AtlantiCare employees and/or their family members of Hispanic descent who will pursue a career in the healthcare sector.
2. Student is enrolled full-time (as defined by their college/university).
3. GPA - 3.0 or above
4. Enrollment Verification
5. College Transcript
6. Essay: (not to exceed 800 words)
   • Reason and area of interest in the healthcare sector.
   • Importance of reducing health disparities within the Hispanic community. (Health disparities are differences in the incidence, prevalence, mortality, and burden of diseases and other adverse health conditions that exist among specific population groups in the United States. – National Institutes of Health)
