The Martha B. Keates Nursing Fellowship Fund
Application Information:
The Martha B. Keates Nursing Fellowship Fund was established by the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Atlantic City Campus Auxiliary, to honor their longtime volunteer Martha B. Keates for her valued community service and to support nursing at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.
Each year one student is awarded a $4,000 scholarship.
Application Criteria:
- Graduating high school senior enrolled in a 4 year degree program or have completed the pre-requisites required at an accredited college or university in a nursing studies program
- Home address must be within Atlantic County
- Applicants should submit a complete application along with a 250 word essay and any supporting documents
- Full transcript
- Two letters of recommendation
- One to two page summary of the following*:
- Student leadership activities
- Honors and/or awards
- Career goals
- Community involvement
- Why the applicant should be awarded this fellowship
*adult applicants should submit "C" through "E" as outlined above
Note: Children and grandchildren of the City Auxiliary for the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center are ineligible to apply for the fellowship program due to a potential conflict of interest when awards are being considered. Previous Martha B. Keates fellowship recipients may not reapply.

Thank you for your interest in the Martha B. Keates Nursing Fellowship Scholarship. All complete applications and supporting documents must be postmarked and sent by Friday, April 3rd, 2026. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
