Right now, an estimated six million Americans are suffering from chronic, non-healing wounds. This can occur in wounds caused by surgery, trauma or pressure injuries, and can stem from complications related to diabetes, obesity and various vascular disorders. Chronic wounds can lead to a diminished quality of life, infections, and – in serious cases – amputation of the affected area.

The AtlantiCare Wound Healing Center is a hospital-based outpatient service that aims to prevent amputations and heal patients in less time. We use the latest science and technology in our approach to wound healing and follow treatment protocols uniquely crafted for each type of wound. Using an interdisciplinary model of care, including infectious-disease management, physical therapy, occupational therapy, laboratory evaluation, nutritional management, pain management, diabetes education and more, the AtlantiCare Wound Healing Center is dedicated to addressing total patient health while we help you heal.
