Learning Objectives
- Understand basic neuro-physiology of epileptic seizures
- Recognize and differentiate key features in distinguishing epileptic seizures from other mimics
- Implement evidence-based first aid for an acute response to seizures, including interpretation of a seizure action plan and supporting students after a seizure
- Outline the initial evaluation and basic workup of pediatric seizures and summarize key counseling points discussed in neurology clinic
