Getting the right care at the right time, right place

Life Doesn’t Wait for Monday

Knowing where to go can save you time

Life doesn’t always happen between 9 and 5. Sometimes it's Tuesday morning. Sometimes it's Friday afternoon. Sometimes it's late Sunday night.

When illness or injury catches you by surprise, knowing where to go can help you get the right care faster.

Here are a few common situations—and where to go when they happen.

TUESDAY | 8:00 A.M.

You realize you’re almost out of your blood pressure medication.

You meant to call last week. Then life got busy.

Start with your primary care provider. They know your health history and can help with preventive care, routine screenings, medication refills and managing ongoing conditions.

WEDNESDAY | 12:30 P.M.

You notice an itchy rash that’s getting worse.

You don’t want to leave work for an appointment.

Choose Virtual Care. Talk with a provider today using your smartphone, tablet or computer, whether you’re at home, at work or on the go.

FRIDAY | 4:30 P.M.

Your teenager twists an ankle at soccer.

It's swollen, painful and your teenager can't put weight on it.

Visit Urgent Care. Urgent Care is a good choice for sprains, strains, minor injuries and illnesses that need prompt attention but are not life-threatening.

SATURDAY | 5:45 P.M.

You’re slicing watermelon when the knife slips.

The cut won't stop bleeding. You think you may need stitches.

Visit Urgent Care. Urgent Care can treat many cuts and minor injuries that need attention but are not life-threatening.

SUNDAY | 10:42 P.M.

A loved one suddenly develops chest pain and has trouble speaking.

Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden numbness or weakness and trouble speaking are all signs of a medical emergency. The Emergency Department is the right place to receive immediate evaluation and treatment.

Be Ready Before You Need Care

Life doesn't wait for Monday. When you know where to go, your care doesn't have to wait either.

Knowing your options ahead of time can help you make the right decision when it matters most.

Whether you need Primary Care, Virtual Care, Urgent Care or the Emergency Department, AtlantiCare is here to help you get the right care, at the right place, at the right time.
