Curriculum


Fellows will routinely participate in the following conferences:

  • Core Curriculum Conference Series
  • Clinical Case Conferences
  • Research Conferences
  • Journal Club
  • Morbidity and Mortality Conferences
  • Quality Improvement Conferences

The faculty will participate in required conferences.

The Core Curriculum Series for the AtlantiCare Cardiology Fellowship Program

The Core Curriculum Series for the AtlantiCare Cardiology Fellowship Program will be conducted on a regular basis. Fellows will attend a half-day didactic session on one Thursday per month, from 1pm-4pm. These half-day sessions will include cardiology specific lectures, clinical case conferences, research lectures, quality improvement lectures, and a variety of other topics.

In addition, fellows will also attend a didactic session two-three times per week from 7am-8am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays. These didactic sessions will include a Cardiology Catheterization Conference (twice per month), M&M Conference (twice per month), Cardiology Grand Rounds (twice per month), Arrhythmias Management (twice per month), and Journal Club (twice per month). Below is a sample schedule for one month:

Faculty will lead all core didactic sessions with the involvement of the fellows, based on the lecture type. Fellows will be expected to lead M&M, Journal Club, and morning reports. All fellows are expected to participate in research and scholarly activities.
