You’re at risk if you have a family or personal history of stroke or if you:
- Have high blood pressure
 - Have high cholesterol
 - Are a smoker (cigarettes, cigars, pipes)
 - Have diabetes
 - Suffer from any kind of cardiovascular disease
 
- Eat a high calorie, high fat diet
 - Are overweight or obese
 - Live an inactive lifestyle
 - Are addicted to drugs or alcohol

 - Exercise every day
 
- Know your blood pressure
 - Stop smoking
