Preparing for Your Procedure at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus

Arrival Time

You will receive a call the day before your procedure with your exact arrival time.

Eating & Drinking

Do not eat after midnight on the night before your procedure. You may have clear liquids only (water, apple juice, or Gatorade—no red) up to 2 hours before your arrival time.  

Example: If your arrival time is 9:00 AM, stop all liquids at 7:00 AM

 

NOTE: If you were given specific instructions related to your procedure/condition regarding when to stop eating and drinking please follow those instructions. 

Medications

Please follow the instructions provided during your Preadmission Testing (PAT) visit or phone call. Refer to the white folder for any medications you may need to stop prior to your procedure. If you have questions, please contact Preadmission Testing office.

Location 

Your procedure will take place at AtlantiCare Mainland Division, 65 W Jimmie Leeds Rd, Galloway, NJ 08240. Park and enter through the Main Entrance.

Same Day Surgery waiting room.

Use the phone in the waiting area to dial the extension and notify the team of your arrival.

Visitors

You may bring two visitors with you on the day of your procedure.

After the Procedure

If you are discharged the same day:

  • You must have a ride home with a family member or friend 

  • Uber, Lyft or taxis are not permitted unless accompanied by your support person 

  • A responsible adult must stay with you for 24 hours 

Additional Reminders

  • Remove all jewelry and piercings prior to arrival 

  • Leave all valuables at home
