AtlantiCare Certified Great Place To Work Three Years in a Row
Certification adds to a year of continued investment, expansion and major milestones across the health system
August 21, 2026
AtlantiCare has earned Great Place To Work® Certification™ for the third consecutive year, continuing a three-year run of recognition driven entirely by feedback from the health system’s nearly 7,000 team members.
According to Great Place To Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits and have a fair chance at promotion.
“Three consecutive years of Great Place To Work certification speaks to the strength of our culture and the nearly 7,000 team members who make AtlantiCare what it is,” said Michael Charlton, President and CEO of AtlantiCare. “Healthcare is one of the most demanding professions, and our team continues to show tremendous resilience, compassion and commitment through an extraordinary period of progress for AtlantiCare. I am proud of the confidence they continue to place in this organization and even more proud of what we are accomplishing together.”
The recognition follows a year of major milestones across the organization. AtlantiCare successfully completed its Joint Commission survey, opened the new 60-bed AtlantiCare Rehabilitation Hospital with Select Medical and continued one of the most ambitious technology transformations ever. They also formalized an agreement with the Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine to establish a four-year medical school in Atlantic City and expanded its partnership with Stockton University to create new health education and workforce pathways for South Jersey.
Together, those investments reflect a broader commitment under Vision 2030 to strengthen healthcare in the region while creating opportunities for people to build careers, develop as leaders and contribute to the communities AtlantiCare serves.
"Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience," says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, the Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasizes that Certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that AtlantiCare stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."
Great Place To Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.
