Team member feedback drives AtlantiCare’s re-certification and reflects its commitment to a workplace culture that supports exceptional care

AtlantiCare, southeastern New Jersey’s largest healthcare system with over 6,500 team members across 110 locations, is proud to be Certified™ by Great Place To Work® for the second year in a row. The prestigious award is based entirely on what current team members say about their experience working at AtlantiCare.   According to their feedback, AtlantiCare scored 14 points higher than the average U.S. workplace.  Great Place To Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.

“The culture our team members have built is what drives this organization forward,” said Michael Charlton, president and CEO of AtlantiCare. “It is grounded in trust, connection and a shared commitment to the people we serve, and I’m proud of how our team carries that commitment into every interaction. Being recognized two years in a row affirms what we see every day and reflects the strength of our team and the standards they hold themselves to.”

Driven by its mission to make a difference in health and healing, one person at a time, AtlantiCare fosters an inclusive culture rooted in caring, trusting relationships and guided by its core values: Safety, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, Service, and Inclusion. With more than 6,500 dedicated team members, the organization empowers individuals to grow and lead, serve patients with compassion, and build healthier communities.

"Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall team member experience," says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, the Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasizes that Certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of team members regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that AtlantiCare stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its team members."

According to Great Place To Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits and have a fair chance at promotion.
