“Legacy on the Green” continued as golfers, sponsors and the Glenn family came together, raising $237,000 to support vital initiatives across South Jersey

On Monday, September 8, the AtlantiCare Foundation hosted its 37th Annual Thomas L. Glenn Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament at Seaview – A Dolce Hotel, where a sold-out field of golfers, sponsors, and supporters raised $237,000 while enjoying a day of camaraderie, competition and community impact.

The scramble-format tournament drew 200 golfers who enjoyed a full day on the course, complete with prizes, refreshments and post-play celebrations at the evening cocktail and dinner reception. Beyond the friendly competition, participants heard firsthand how their support is helping address community health needs in South Jersey.Golfers pose for photo

“The Thomas L. Glenn Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament is a powerful reminder of how philanthropy and community can shape healthier futures,” said Matt Lang, Chief Development Officer for the AtlantiCare Foundation. “We are indebted to the Glenn family for entrusting AtlantiCare with this legacy, one that reflects Thomas’s values of generosity, fellowship, and service. Their vision, combined with the commitment of our sponsors, golfers and volunteers ensures that this event does far more than fill a leaderboard-- it strengthens the foundation of care for our entire region.”

Established in memory of Thomas L. Glenn Jr., the tournament has grown into one of AtlantiCare’s most beloved traditions, blending sport and philanthropy to carry forward a legacy of generosity. The Glenn family continues to be a cornerstone of the event’s success, ensuring its impact is felt both on and off the course.

The sold-out tournament underscored the strength of community partnerships in advancing healthcare. Proceeds will support AtlantiCare’s social determinants of health initiatives — specifically tackling food insecurity and transportation challenges that create barriers to care. By addressing these needs, AtlantiCare is reinforcing its commitment to health equity and ensuring more residents across South Jersey have access to the care they deserve.

AtlantiCare Foundation extends its gratitude to the generous sponsors who made the 37th Annual Thomas L. Glenn Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament possible. Glenn Insurance, Inc. served as the Presenting Sponsor, with P. Agnes, Inc. as the Tournament Sponsor. Support also came from Sodexo as the Air Cannon Sponsor; Falasca Mechanical as the Tee Off Sponsor; and Calvi Electric Company as the Golf Towel Sponsor. “Tea” Time Sponsors included the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, Carpenters Local.
