November 3, 2025
AtlantiCare was recognized as one of two Outstanding Community Partners of the Year by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office (ACPO) at its 2025 Awards Luncheon in October.
“It’s an honor to accept this recognition on behalf of the more than 6,500 AtlantiCare team members, many of whom work alongside first responders and public safety partners in some of the most difficult moments people face,” said Michael Charlton, President and CEO of AtlantiCare. “Our partnership with the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office is built on a shared commitment to protecting and strengthening our community. We are grateful for the trust we have built and for the ongoing collaboration that strengthens care and safety across Atlantic County.”
ACPO said the honor reflects AtlantiCare’s longstanding collaboration with law enforcement and first responders to strengthen public safety, expand access to behavioral health services and support crisis response across Atlantic County. Recent joint initiatives include:
• ARRIVE Together and barricaded-individuals response pairing behavioral health specialists with law enforcement
• ACLead and Opt for Help and Hope substance use diversion programs
• Coordinated psychiatric interventions, emergency department partnerships and hospital-based violence intervention
Prosecutor William Reynolds hosted the luncheon to thank law enforcement agencies, first responders, community partners and families whose support advances ACPO’s mission to safeguard residents through countywide coordination.
In addition to AtlantiCare’s recognition, ACPO honored several public safety professionals and community partners for exemplary service. See the full list of honorees here.
