Heart Awareness and Community Action
Nearly Half a Million Dollars Raised for AED's in Our Region
February 10, 2026
Each February, AtlantiCare comes together with the community to honor American Heart Month with our annual Red Dress/Red Tie Reception, a night that combines celebration, heart health awareness and action. Guests arrived in their vibrant red attire to show support for the fight against heart disease, the leading cause of death for men and women nationwide.
This year’s reception welcomed attendees to the Carriage House in Galloway, NJ, where AtlantiCare team members, community leaders, local businesses and friends gathered for an evening of entertainment and impact. Together, we raised nearly $40,000 to support Heart Heroes, an AtlantiCare Foundation funded program that places life-saving automated external defibrillators (AEDs) throughout South Jersey communities.
Since its inception 16 years ago, the Red Dress/Red Tie Reception has raised close to $500,000 with proceeds funding the installation of nearly 500 AED devices since 2002. These devices ensure that life-saving tools are accessible when seconds matter most.
