triad pics from the first procedure

AtlantiCare and Global Neurosciences Institute (GNI) have completed southeastern New Jersey’s first Vivistim Paired VNS Therapy System procedure, expanding what recovery can mean for stroke survivors who have reached the limits of traditional therapy. This breakthrough therapy helps eligible patients regain arm and hand movement even years after their stroke when paired with rehabilitation.

AtlantiCare serves as the regional hub that brings GNI’s advanced neuroscience expertise to patients locally, reflecting a shared commitment to innovation and recovery.

The procedure was performed by Rudy Rahme, MD, neurosurgeon with AtlantiCare and Global Neurosciences Institute (GNI), as part of the integrated partnership between the two organizations.

As southeastern New Jersey’s only Joint Commission-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, AtlantiCare, in collaboration with GNI, provides the highest level of stroke care — from emergency treatment to recovery and beyond. The addition of Vivistim builds on that shared commitment, giving patients more opportunities to regain strength, independence and confidence close to home
