Two AtlantiCare Leaders Recognized in BiNJe’s Inaugural Best of Healthcare Honors
August 21, 2025Michael Charlton, president and CEO and Joseph V. Lombardi, MD, MBA, FACS, chief physician executive and chair of the Heart and Vascular Institute, have been named to the BiNJe inaugural Best of Healthcare honors.

The recognition celebrates healthcare professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, advance clinical excellence and make lasting contributions to their communities.
- Michael Charlton was recognized for his leadership in launching Vision 2030, AtlantiCare’s six-year strategic plan to transform care delivery and improve health outcomes across southeastern New Jersey.
- Dr. Joseph Lombardi was selected for his visionary leadership in vascular and endovascular surgery and his work advancing clinical programs.
This distinction adds to AtlantiCare’s growing visibility on both regional and national stages. U.S. News & World Report recently named AtlantiCare one of the top 10 regional hospitals in New Jersey and rated it High Performing in several specialties.
