Taking Charge of Your Bone Health
Osteoporosis is a common disease that makes your bones weak and susceptible to breaks, especially from falls. Studies suggest that approximately one in two women and up to one in four men age 50 and older will break a bone due to osteoporosis. Fortunately, there are many ways you can help prevent or manage the condition and keep your bones strong.
Preventing Surgical Skin Infections
During surgery, germs on the skin can get into the surgical incision. These germs can cause infections that can be hard to treat. Because of this, steps are taken to help clear these germs from the skin before surgery. Closely follow the instructions you are given to help protect yourself from surgical skin infections.
